New mortgage loan application volume drops

The volume of US home mortgage applications fell by around 8.6 percent last week, according to the Market Composite Index.
Mortgage loan application volume fell from 979.7 to 895.6 in the week ending in May 8, said a report released by the Mortgage Bankers Association. The effects on interest rates, both fixed and adjustable, vary, however.
