Mortgage rates down

Good news for mortgage holders: mortgage interest rates for most fixed-term loans went down last week after a large jump the prior week.

According to mortgage finance firm Freddie Mac, this is due to a tamer inflation rate and a weaker housing market. Naturally, new house building rates are also significantly down.
